Tens supporters of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak gathered outside the International Medical Center (IMC) on Thursday to celebrate the 38th anniversary of Egypt's October 6 victory. The group raised banners that praised the former president, who is under medical care in the IMC, as the hero of war and peace. A number of Mubarak's supporters handed the administration of the hospital a silver shield and bouquets of flowers to express their love for the former president, who was ousted in a popular uprising earlier this year. Kareem Hussien, admin of the Facebook page "I'm sorry, President," said the visit came to appreciate the role which Mubarak played during the 62 years he served the country, first in the Air Force and later as president. Hussein added that the group put a wreath of flowers on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to complete the ceremonies that Mubarak used to do during his Three decades a president. Hussien added that the group will not participate in any other celebrations. He said they celebrated the anniversary of Egypt's victory in their own way and did not participate with any other groups that support the former president. On October 6, 1973 Egyptian troops reclaimed the Sinai Peninsula from Israel, which had occupied the territory since 1967.
