Dar-Alifta Al-Masrriyah allowed Muslims to sign all kinds of contracts with non-Muslims, so long as they do not oppose Islam. Egyptian Islamic scholars said that the reason behind the prohibition of entering into contracts with non-Muslims is that sometimes such contracts include provisions that would be banned under Islam. Muslims should not contribute money to a prohibited business, they also said. Dar-Alifta issued a fatwa titled “Religious Opinion Concerning Islamic Law” that forbids vandalism of Churches or terrorization of non-Muslims.
