CAIRO: Sudanese Minister of Roads and Bridges Abdel Wahab Othman met yesterday in Cairo with Minister of International Cooperation and Planning Fayza Abu el-Naga and Minister of Transportation Zein el-Abdein. Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo Kamal Hassan said the discussion between the three ministers was about the outcomes of the crossings committee, which met last week. The ministers listened to the results of the meeting, including two possible crossings, one each on the Ease and West sides of the Nile River. The ambassador said they will start the project on November 30 and it will be ready by March 2012. The Sudanese Ambassador in Cairo said Zawaya Company, which is responsible for the implementing of the project, presented the steps of establishing the Dongola – Arkin Road, which stretched about 362 km. The Egyptian side was committed to connect the road to Abu Simbel, a distance of 110 km, by next March.
