Israeli Newspaper Haaretz said the Israeli army raised a state of alert on the borders of Egypt, during the holidays of the Jewish New Year, which began on Thursday evening. The Israeli army and police raised a high state of alert and caution around the West Bank and the Israeli- Egyptian border. They also imposed a security barricade around the city of the West Bank until tomorrow. The newspaper added the Israeli police will conduct searches and raids in the area of Issawiya, Abu Tor and in the city of Jerusalem, on the eve of the Jewish New Year.
