Egyptian Ambassador to Palestinian Authority Yasser Osman said Sinai is under heavy attack from Israel, in order to control and change its features for the benefit of Israel. The Israeli public radio quoted Osman saying Egypt will not assume responsibility of anyone because of the fall in the underground excavations bordering the Gaza strip. This was a response to Israel accusing Egypt of pumping large quantities of wastewater into the tunnels in Rafah that killed three workers several days ago. Osman added the lack of civil protection within the tunnels and Israel continuing air bombardment are the real reasons behind the large number of Palestinian victims inside the fallen tunnel. He added Egyptian authorities are pursuing a policy to demolish the tunnels, according to a security plan.
