CAIRO: October 6 will be a full-pay vacation day for state and private sector workers, according to Egyptian Minister of Manpower Ahmed al-Boraei.
Al-Boraei said according to the work law, October 6 is considered a full-pay vacation day.
The state holiday commemorates Egypt's victory on October 6, 1973, when Egyptian forces retook the Sinai Peninsula from Israel, which had occupied the territory since 1967.
