CAIRO: The April 6 Youth Movement today announced the Emergency Law must end according to the constitutional announcement issued earlier, which states that a popular poll must be applied to extend the Emergency Law. The youth movement also announced its participation in the September 30 demonstration will protest the Emergency Law, demand the application of the Law of Perfidy and determine the timeline to deliver power to a civil authority. The April 6 Movement is studying the possibility of returning to a peaceful struggle if the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces continues to slow down the transition to a civil rule, said Amr Ali, the person responsible for mass mobilization. “April 6 is confronting the Emergency Law because the arrest of any citizens or activists under this law is considered abduction,” said Ali. April 6 will not participate in the upcoming parliamentary election and will not support any political forces either, said Mahmoud Afifi, the April 6 spokesman.
