Several political groups have called for protests in Tahrir Square this Friday, to demand an end to the emergency law and a clear timeline for the transitional period The 6 April Youth Movement and Al-Wasat party announced that they will participate in the "End of Emergency Law" million-man protest that will be held next Friday in Tahrir Square. The 6 April Youth Movement has cited the following demands: ending the emergency law by a referendum, a timeline for the transitional period with clear dates for elections, fulfilling the demands of workers, teachers and doctors, and the cancelling of the anti-strike law. Al-Wasat Party also announced its demands: to reject the emergency law and to demand a timeline for the transitional period.
