CAIRO: The Egyptian Organization for Human Rights (EOHR) has demanded that Egypt's ruling military council release immediately all students detained during the ‘Friday of Course Correction' demonstrations. EOHR said the military council should take the students' age into account in order to preserve their futures. EOHR revealed that the detained were arrested randomly, as some of them were arrested the day after the demonstrations, which EOHR said does not prove they were involved in the incidents. EOHR Chairman Hafez Abu Seada said international agreements and documents concerning human rights must be taken into consideration, especially when it comes to minors. It should be noted that the military police arrested many minors during the clashes that took place on September 9. The detainees were referred to the military prosecution, and have been remanded in custody since that date.
