Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf promised to lift the emergency state after ending the current state of insecurity in Egypt after the destruction of the police institution after the Egyptian January 25 Revolution. He added the emergency law will target those people who work to undermine the objectives of the revolution. He pointed out the implementation of the emergency law will not impede aspirations of Egyptian powers to achieve the serious reform, freedom and democracy. He denied the governmental bias to the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) in press declaration on Tuesday. He considered such claims an attempt to impede the government. He added the government works to achieve free and fair elections during the next parliamentary elections. He stressed the need to achieve social and economic development to achieve real democratic change. About the current teacher strike, he contacted with the Minister of Education to discuss the demands of Egyptian teachers. He pointed out it is difficult to respond to all their demands, especially with the current economic conditions. He added the government aims to achieve the objectives of the revolution despite the different challenges and the absence of parliament. Sharaf said he suffers from the financial crisis in the Egyptian markets, adding the government is working to activate authorities to control the markets, including the competition authority. About the recent crisis of pilgrims, Sharaf said the Saudi Arabian authorities conducted an investigation in coordination with the Egyptian Authority of the Civil Aviation. "Saudi Arabia understands the Egyptian demands in this regard and is working to execute them," he added.
