The head of the Coptic Church in Alexandira, Pope Shenouda III, arrived in Cairo Airport today, after his two weeks on his therapeutic journey in the U.S. Church leaders and government officials warmly welcomed Pope Shenouda III. The papal building witnessed a mass of Coptic Christian welcoming back the Pope, which was organized to accommodate these masses. The Pope's private doctor accompanied him on his journey along with a number of Egyptian bishops. His journey also included meetings with Canadian and American priests under the title ‘Love Egypt,' where he studied the conditions of the Coptic community and churches there.
