Egyptian media reported the conspiracy of the false witnesses in Mubarak's trial, the preparations of appointing the outstanding graduates of Al-Azhar University, the arrival of an Israeli delegation to discuss the security situation and the declarations of soldiers of the central security, in which they confirmed Al-Ahly football fans started the violence during the past football match.
Youm7:
The newspaper published a secret document revealing the conspiracy of the false witnesses in Mubarak's trial. The document includes investigations conducted by the Public Prosecution in the case of killing the peaceful demonstrators during the Egyptian January 25 Revolution.
The investigation included important information about orders issued by leaders of the Ministry to dissolve the demonstrations. The document clarified the forces used RPG guns, mortars and efficient machine guns during the revolution.
Al-Ahram:
The daily newspaper highlighted the declarations of the chairman of the Egyptian Company for the Underground, Mohamed al-Shimy, in which he said the prices of tickets and services provided by the company will not increase during the school seasons.
He added the company will offer the ‘smart ticket' for students after the operation of the underground third line next January.
Al-Azhar University prepared a list of outstanding graduates since 2002 to pave the way and appoint them in the university.
Al-Akhbar:
The newspaper highlighted the chairman of Egypt's ruling military council, Hussein Tantawi, and his Vice President, Samy Anan, will appear at the court to testify in Mubarak's trial.
A Judicial source said summoning the leaders of Egypt's ruling military council to court is not subject to the mechanisms required for summoning the military witnesses. The source clarified they, as Egypt's rulers, currently have the advantage of being a political figure as well as a military figure.
The Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, Ahmed al-Kattan, said what took place with the Egyptian pilgrims in Jeddah happened previously, even during Mubarak's tenure. He clarified the matter had no relation with Mubarak's trial.
He added the Saudi Arabia cut off relations with Egypt's former President Hosni Mubarak, since his resignation on February 11. He said Saudi country offered U.S. $ four billion as aid to support Egypt.
Al-Masry Al-Youm:
The newspaper underlined an Israeli delegation arrived in Cairo yesterday in a visit that will last a few hours.
They are scheduled to hold discussion with Egyptian authorities about the recent developments in light of the violence on the Egyptian-Palestinian borders.
A blackout was imposed on members of the Israeli delegation and the objectives of their visit during this critical time. The Israeli delegation was received by a number of Egypt's security leaders.
Al-Shorouq:
Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Israel is a terrible infant in the Middle East, which violates international rules. He made this comment in an interview with the newspaper.
He hopes to see Egypt as a strong country and play a leading role in the region. He promised to open strategic cooperation between Ankara and Cairo.
He warned Syrians of not responding to the demands of achieving reform raised by Syrians, clarifying the Syrian regime insists on not achieving the people's demands. There will be repetition of what happened in the other countries in the region during other uprisings.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health suspended receiving foreign aid in the field of health and not to receive drugs and medical supplies. It will receive only the experience and training opportunities aiming to develop services in Egyptian hospitals.
Al-Gomhorreya:
Soldiers of the central security said they didn't expect violence committed by Al-Ahly football fans. They said the fans started the violence against the soldiers.
The assistant to the Minister of Interior for the sector of the central security, Salah al-Sherbini, said the ministry decided to provide the injured soldiers with immediate rewards and to treat them.
