Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will come to Egypt on an official visit from September 12-14. Erdogan will head a high-level delegation that will include ministers, officials and businessmen. The visit will be Erdogan's first to Egypt since the country's January 25 Revolution. Mohamed Hegazy, spokesman of Egypt's Council of Ministers, said Erdogan's visit is to promote economic relations between the Egypt and Turkey, employ the political and strategic weight of both countries, and to achieve prosperity and stability in the region. Many agreements and memorandums will be signed during the visit, said Hegazy. "These agreements will enhance the bilateral relations between both countries in different fields," said Hegazy. On the same context, the Turkish-Egyptian businessmen council will hold a meeting on the sidelines of the visit to discuss means of enhancing commercial relations between both countries and to show the businessmen existing opportunities for investments in both countries. The visit comes after Turkish President Abullah Gul's visit to Egypt last March and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmed Davutoglu's visits in April and July. Also, Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohamed Amr visited Turkey in last August.
