CAIRO: Egypt's upcoming parliamentary elections will be “totally fair,” according to Minister of Interior Mansour el-Issawy. Cooperation with international organizations regarding the elections will be confined to the logistic process only in coordination with the ministries of justice and international cooperation, without any interference in the election process itself, he added. Issawy said during a meeting of the council of ministries yesterday that the next elections will be totally fair and will be bound to the voters' lists based on the citizens' national number, which will reflect a civilized image for the next elections, which will be held under complete judicial supervision. The parliamentary elections, expected in November, will be Egypt's first elections since a mass uprising toppled the regime of 30-year President Hosni Mubarak earlier this year.
