SUEZ, Egypt – Families of January 25 Revolution martyrs in Suez and Alexandria today will hold meetings with the Revolution Youth Coalition to discuss possible escalation against Egyptian Minister of the Interior Mansour el-Issawy over recent remarks. Only those killed in Tahrir Square are martyrs, el-Issawy said recently. “The others who were killed are thugs.” The families are putting pressure on el-Issawy through lawsuits, filed both in the Suez and Alexandria governorates. These legal means will continue until he is ousted, said Ali el-Genedi, the spokesman for the families. Some prominent political activists and representatives of political movements will likely attend the meeting. The meeting will also tackle subjects like the transitional period as well as elections and laws for the People's Assembly and the Shura Council. The families will hold a memorial ceremony after the meeting for martyrs killed across Egyptian governorates.
