CAIRO: The Head of the Cairo Court of Appeal, Abdel Moiz Ibrahim, and the Egyptian Minister of Interior, Mansour el-Issawy, discussed the process of securing Parliamentary elections in a 30-minute meeting Saturday. Issawy tackled the plan to be implemented by Ministry of Interior to secure both parliamentary headquarters and schools where the voters will cast their ballots. Central Security Forces and Egyptian Special Forces will be deployed around election sites but will not enter, according to security sources. Issawy asked Ibrahim about the number of schools where the ballot places will be held, and the number of sealed ballot boxes. Ballot boxes will be taken to sorting places under judicial escort, sources added. The Minister of Interior also requested the number of judges who would monitor the election. The meeting also previewed the phosphoric ink for the electoral process. Ibrahim said he would meet with the Supreme Electoral Committee to discuss the matter of constituencies and nomination period. In related story, Ibrahim met the Polish ambassador to Egypt and the Polish delegation to discuss bilateral relations between two countries in judicial matters. The delegation congratulated Ibrahim on his new post as Chairman of the Cairo Court of Appeal. The Polish expressed their happiness about Egypt's position on the real road of democracy. The meeting also discussed the upcoming electoral process, which represents the peoples' will and judicial independence.
