The Egyptian youth organized a special day to show solidarity with the Syrian people by blogging on the social media site Facebook. The bloggers throw their full support behind the Syrian people and condemn the violence used against peaceful protestors. “Arabian ignorance toward the events in Syria is unacceptable,” said Marwa Behairy, one the bloggers. “The Syrian people are asking only for freedom and are faced with bloodshed, violence and murder.” The Syrian revolution began five months ago during the popular uprisings that swept across the Arab world, popularly known as “Arab Spring.” The members of the blogging campaign will screen videos showing the brutality of the Syrian army.
