Demonstrators from al-Salam camp gathered today in front of the house of Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf to protest against his “deceptive practices.” The Cairo governorate transferred them to Nahda Mountain in order to construct new housing units, the protestors said. But the prime minister failed to deliver on his promise. The demonstrators threatened to hold an open-ended protest in front of Sharaf's house in Dokki. Security officials cordoned off the protestors, Sharaf's home and the streets leading to his house. The Cairo governorate delivered housing units to Maspiro protestors, but ignored the residents in al-Salam camp, the demonstrators said. “Does the government meet some protestors' demands and ignore those of others'?” they wondered. The Giza security directorate headed to Dokki to begin negotiations with demonstrators.
