CAIRO: Egyptian presidential candidates have demanded a suspension of the violence that Egypt continues to witness. Last night, more than 300 people were injured when a peaceful march from Tahrir Square to the Ministry of Defense was attacked. Presidential candidate Hamdeen Sabbahi demanded that Egypt's ruling military council respond to the demands of Egypt's political powers. He expressed his refusal of using force against peaceful demonstrators. Mohamed el-Baradei, another presidential candidate, said there is a need for unity among Egypt's different political powers in order to overcome the challenges of Egypt's transitional stage.
