CAIRO: An Egyptian delegation will fly to Russia to check the quality of Russian wheat imported to Egypt, according to Goda Abdel-Khaleq, Minister of Social Solidarity. The delegation is being sent to match the quality of the wheat to the specifications of Request for Proposals. Goda said the delegation will be chaired by Nassr Noamani, the chief deputy of the General Authority for Supply Commodities. It will also include representatives from the ministries of Agriculture and Social Solidarity. The Authority imported roughly 420,000 tons of wheat from Russia in the past two weeks after Russia lifted the ban imposed on grain exports.
