CAIRO: Head of the High Committee of the Elections, Judge Abdel Moez Ahmed Ibrahim, said the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) will determine the date of the next parliamentary elections through a republican decision to be issued later. He said the committee started work, and pointed out it demanded changing its current headquarters to ensure achieving privacy and independence. He said the electoral process will be conducted in three stages. International supervision needs to request permission from the government, stressing this issue is not the committee's function. Ibrahim signaled the main function of his committee is to prepare electoral schedules, receive complaints about the electoral process, organize elections and electoral campaigns of the candidates and cooperation draft plans with the civil society and its organizations. Ibrahim made these statements during a phone call with ‘Al-Hayat Al-Youm' evening talk show.
