Sudan is sending a new ambassador to its mission in Cairo. Gen. Abdul Rahman Ser Alkhtem, the former Sudanese ambassador, left Cairo today after finishing his post period. He will hold a session with new ambassador Kamal Hassan, who will travel to Egypt next week. Ser Alkhtem finished his diplomatic activities in Cairo with a meeting with Field Marshal Hussein Tantawi, head of Egypt's ruling military council, to confirm supporting relations between Egypt and Sudan. Tantawi expressed Egypt's full support for Sudan. Meanwhile, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, Sudan's deputy president, delayed his visit to Cairo without giving reasons.
