CAIRO: Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf announced last night that there will be a ministerial reshuffle within one week to meet Revolution's demands and to reflect the real will of the people. Sharaf said in a speech that the change of governors will be carried out before the end of the current month. Sharaf' s speech called on Minister of Interior Mansour el-Essawy to accelerate the process of firing all police offices and leaders in the ministry who were involved in killing demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. The prime minister asked the Supreme Judiciary Council to quickly and publicly prosecute those accused of killing demonstrators to reassure the people that justice is being carried out. Sharaf called on Egyptians to enable the judges to do their duties in normal way. The statement called for a reform of Egyptian media and the press as fast as possible. Sharaf also said he will be charged to run the Fund for January 25 Revolution victims' relatives. Finally, Sharaf called on Egyptians to cooperate with the new government to achieve the Revolution's demands and to work for Egypt's future. The next period will see certain decisions meet Revolutions' demands, according to Sharaf. Youm7 learned from top sources that Sharaf had headed to the Military Council with a list proposing changing seven to ten ministers. These are likely to include Minister of Electricity and Power Hassan Younis; Minister of Local Development Mohesn Noamany; Minister of Military Production Sayed Mashaal; Minister of Environment Maged George; and Minister of Interior Mansour el-Essawi. The sources added that Deputy Prime Minister Yehia al-Gamal tops the list because of his refusal to resign. The ministers of education, finance, and social solidarity were also nominated to be removed, according to the sources. The list also included Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Fayza Abu el-Naga. The sources said author Alaa al-Aswany has been nominated along with two other names to be Egypt's Minister of Culture, replacing current minister Emad Abu Ghazi.
