Free guides coalition studies obstacles facing tour guides

The Free Guides Coalition has studied the major obstacles facing tour guides during the current difficulties the tourism sector is facing. They have also studied the possibility of creating an Egyptian General Tour Guides Syndicate (EGTGS) separate from the Ministry of Tourism.
President of the coalition Awad Mohamed Awad said they seek to understand the guides' interests and liberate them from the interference of the Ministry of Tourism and the Egyptian Travel Agents Association (ETAA). The coalition also seeks to reactivate the code of ethics for tour guides.
Awad also said they hold meetings every Saturday to discuss their visions for the new syndicate and its administrative structure. They also discuss suggestions important to the development of the syndicate.
