A Japanese company has offered Egypt a $200 million grant to transfer fertile silt caught behind the Aswan High Dam to the other side of the dam and to agricultural land. Sources from the Investors Union told Youm7 that the Japanese offer included using the company's technological experience to transfer the Nile silt through pumps to agricultural and desert land. The sources said the project will be discussed during a meeting between the Investors Union and the Ministry of the International Cooperation.
