In order to support his campaign for the presidency Chancellor Murtada Mansour intends to publish a book consisting of four parts, and a CD containing a biography of his life from 1968 until now. Mansour said that the book will be ready for distribution within days, while the CD is currently undergoing editing. He said the book and CD feature his presidential manifesto as well as his life story. They also detail the cases which he filed against public figures. Mansour was not invited to the debate organized recently by the Centre for Regional Studies between other potential candidates including Ayman Nour and Hamdeen Sabbahi. Mansour said he would not have accepted the invitation because he does not know anything about the centre or from where it receives its funds. Mansour said that he believes that reaching the presidency will not be achieved by going to debates in air-conditioned halls but by appealing to the people on the street. He mentioned a conference he held in Dakahlia to announce his candidacy, which was attended by 50,000 people. He also said he would be touring the governorates to promote his candidacy, and believes he has an advantage over other candidates because he is a well known figure.
