CAIRO: Muslim Brotherhood (MB) member Abdel-Muneim Abu el-Fetouh, also a presidential nominee, accused the Zionist entity of preventing him from winning Egypt's presidential election by publishing a video defaming his image. Abu el-Fetouh added in a phone interview with Al-Jazeera that the Zionist entity hates the possibility of a nominee like him for Egypt's presidency so it starts "dirty wars" against him. He said what has been published on online dates back to 2007 and the reporter in the video introduced himself as a "foreign reporter". He denied giving an interview to any Israeli news channel and said his opinion on the Palestinian situation is clear. Abu el-Fetouh added that he has a legal right to sue any trend that defames his image. Regarding that Brotherhood's decision to oust Abu el-Fetouh from the organization because he defied its instructions not to run for president, he said the Brotherhood has no right to sack him. He added that the Brotherhood avoided political life by forming the Freedom and Justice Party. "In case the Brotherhood took this action, it would commit a big mistake that violates the organizing work of the Brotherhood according to the Non-Governmental Organization Law No. 84 in 2002,” he said.
