A freelance tour guide, Khalid Afify, reported two Polish women to the authorities for violating the regulations of the Egyptian Museum on Sunday. Afify said the two women accompanied a group of tourists in the Egyptian Museum as guides. This violates the regulations on tour guides formed by a committee to combat those who give tour guides without a permit. On its own accord, the tour guide union addressed the Minister of Tourism, Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour, and the Minister of Manpower and Immigration, Ahmed Hassan al-Borai, in order to receive help to solve the situation by denying permits and preventing foreigners from working in the field. The union demanded to issue necessary instruction and guidance to all parties in order to prevent foreigners from working without permit and to implement the final resolution of the Minister of Tourism and the workforce.
