Ahli winger Walid Soliman is certain to miss the African Super Cup showdown against Congolese side Leopards on February 21 after having knee surgery. Ahli confirmed on their website that Soliman, who had to shrug off his injury to feature in the Club World Cup, will face two or three months out after undergoing a surgery on his damaged ligament. The setback forced the 28-year-old to pull out of the Egypt squad for the friendly game at Qatar on December 28, as he is now also set to miss the Pharaohs' Abu Dhabi friendly tour in January where they will meet Ghana and Ivory Coast. He was a key member of the team that clinched a seventh CAF Champions League title this season, scoring a crucial winner in the final against Esperance.
