Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira is unwilling to stay on as Zamalek manager amid the uncertain future of football in Egypt. Domestic football has been suspended since last February's Port-Said disaster, with no real signs of near-future resumption from the authorities. Should the activity remain suspended, Zamalek will have to wait until next year's CAF Champions League season to play a competitive game. “I'm afraid I can't wait until next March to play a competitive game, so leaving Zamalek is the most probable decision for me," Vieira told FilGoal.com. “I really appreciate it that the board is not willing to let me go, but everyone knows I am a professional and I came here to work. “I came here to add something to my name, but I can't get paid without an official competition. Also as a Muslim, I do not accept to get paid for free. “I haven't set a date yet, but all I am saying is that I cannot stay as long as there is no football." Vieira has been named Zamalek manager back in August, following the departure of Hassan Shehata.
