Zamalek are set to name Brazilian coach Jorvan Vieira as manager, the Cairo club said on their website. Vieira, 59, arrived on Friday and is currently in talks with the Whites' board over managing the first team following the exit of Hassan Shehata. “I know Zamalek and I am aware of the team's current situation, or else I wouldn't have come to Cairo," he told reporters after arriving. “Hassan Shehata is a great manager and I hope I would be able to lead the team in the right direction after him." Vieira worked with a host of Arab clubs since moving to the Gulf in the 80s. His most notable achievement though came in 2007 when he guided the war-torn Iraq to a shock Asian Cup of Nations triumph.
