Hegazi surprised to be in Viola squad

Ahmed Hegazi is surprised to see his name in Fiorentina's squad for Saturday game with Novara in the Italian Cup.
The Egypt defender has been nursing a thigh injury recently but seems to have won his fitness battle ahead of Viola's first game of the season.
“I am surprised to be in the squad as there have been many players back from international duty and available," Hegazi told FilGoal.com.
“I didn't expect to be in after my recent injury but I'm happy with the manager's decision."
Hegazi, who featured in every game for Egypt at the Olympic Games, is unlikely to start for Vincenzo Montella's side though.
Fiorentina open their Serie A season against Udinese next week.
