Euro Round-up: Backheel golazo!
Published in FilGoal on 16 - 06 - 2012

Player of the day: Super-sub Walcott
Coming on after just two minutes of Sweden's second goal, Theo Walcott proved to be the hero for England after scoring the equalizer and setting up the winner for the Three Lions.
Goal of the day: Welbeck's winner
The goal of the tournament so far!
Manchester United forward Welbeck with a delightful backheel strike that was enough to win the game for England over Sweden.
Moment of the day: France's almost-wonder-goal
The Donetsk thunderstorm was an extraordinary scene but as play resumed, the Ukrainians were undone by a slick France side who produced a football masterpiece when they toyed with the hosts' hapless defense at a certain point of the game.
Les Bleus initially made 12 passes and quickly regained possession as a superb 19-pass move almost ended up with a great goal for Yohan Cabaye, who was denied by the post.
Save of the day: Pyatov denies Mexes
The Ukraine keeper produced one of the saves of the tournament to deny Philippe Mexes' powerful header.
Miss of the day: Gerrard foiled
A normal chance but to Steven Gerrard's standards, that was a big miss for the England captain who could only hit the body of Sweden keeper Andreas Isaksson, who nonetheless deserves credit for the save.
Manager decision: Walcott on
Arsenal winger Walcott turned the game upside down, proving a point to manager Roy Hodgson who must be delighted with his tactical change.
Quote of the day: The best team lost!
“I think we were the better team today, I really do. We played better, we were better. In both the games we have played, we were in the lead, but after 60 minutes, we lost it all,” Sweden captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic suggests that if matches were 60 minutes, he would be holding the trophy in the final!
