Libya scored their first Africa Cup of Nations win in 30 years but still waved goodbye to the competition as Zambia accompanied co-hosts Equatorial Guinea to the knockouts. In the Group A finale, Ihab Boussefi netted a brace to give Libya a 2-1 win over the win-less Senegal, whose only goal was scored by Deme N'Diaye. The result meant nothing as Zambia edged already-qualified co-hosts Equatorial Guinea 1-0, thanks to a strike by Christopher Katongo.
