Razak Omotoyossi bagged a brace to inspire Zamalek to a 2-0 victory at Ittihad in the Egyptian league on Sunday. The Benin striker scored either side of the interval to take his tally to three goals as the Whites secured their third win in a row. The win lifted Zamalek to third spot on 26 points, five adrift of league leaders Harras Hodoud. Ittihad remain 10th with 15 points. Omotoyossi show Ittihad could have taken an early lead through striker Mostafa Karim who had a low strike brilliantly parried by keeper Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed, a save that proved crucial. Twenty minutes later, Omotoyossi headed home a pin-point Ahmed Samir cross from the right to put his side in front for his second of the season. The in-form Abdul-Wahed made another fine save to deny a header by Al-Sayed Farid before half time. The second half was almost action-less until the 75th minute when susbtsuite Ahmed Hassan rattled the crossbar with a trade-mark long shot. Zamalek looked lively then and were awarded on their second attempt with Omotoyossi stealing the show once again in the 78th minute. The robust hitman outmuscled a challenger outside the box before dispatching a fierce drive that bounced off the ground to beat the keeper at the near post. Abdul-Wahed was called back into action once again when he denied Karim's close range effort to keep his third successive clean sheet, as the latter was unlucky to see his fabulous free-kick ricochet off the bar one minute from the end.
