Atletico Madrid coach Gregorio Manzano hailed the ‘unforgettable experience' of watching Zamalek fans torch Cairo Stadium with flares in Thursday's centennial match. Zamalek celebrated their 100th anniversary by hosting the Liga side, who inflicted a 4-1 defeat on the Cairo giants in the presence of more than 60,000 supporters. As reported by Spanish daily Marca, Atleti coach Manzano seems to be more than impressed with what he had seen at Cairo Stadium, saying “it was an unforgettable experience” and that he “had never seen anything like it in his life”. Manzano also declared that he “cared much about observing the course of the flares that went round the stadium from one end to another, without causing damage”. Zamalek fans lighted flares in the 11th minute of both halves in a pre-planned move that referred to the year the club was founded. The 11th minute Atletico staff impressed by fans before the game
