New Atletico coach Manzano hopes Aguero stays
Atletico Madrid's new coach Gregorio Manzano said on Friday that he hopes forward Sergio Aguero stays at the Spanish club.

Aguero, who is set to play the Copa America with Argentina, recently said he wants to leave Atletico after five seasons.
“So far the club has not received any official offer for Aguero,” Manzano said. “I would love to add Aguero to a long list of great players I have coached.”
Manzano signed a one-year contract on Wednesday to begin his second stint with the club after coaching Atletico to a seventh-place finish in 2004.
Manzano said he plans to build a “renovated Atletico based on young, hungry players.”
His main challenge will be finding the consistency that Atletico lacked last season under Quique Sanchez Flores.
The 55-year-old coach, who has had stints at Sevilla, Mallorca, Racing Santander and Malaga, may also have to replace goalkeeper David de Gea, who is rumored to be leaving.
“The team is basically complete, 80 to 90 percent made,” Manzano said.“Depending on the situation of the departures from the team, it is obvious we will have to add players in certain positions.
“After finishing in seventh place last season, our responsibility is to improve that result and perform well in the Copa del Rey and the Europa League,” he added.
The Spanish manager took over Sevilla midway through last season, but fell short of qualifying for the Champions League.
