Ahli boss Manuel Jose has named young defender Ahmed Al-Esh in his squad for Wednesday's game against Dakhlia, leaving out Hossam Ashour, Sherif Abdul-Fadil and Ahmed Al-Sayed. The 20-year-old Al-Esh comes in place of the injured Mohamed Naguib, who tore a hamstring in the previous win at Ittihad. Center-half Abdul-Fadil, who was regarded as a possible replacement for Naguib, was ruled out as he has just recovered from a knee injury.
No place for Ashour Former captain Ahmed Al-Sayed was also dropped as he seems to have gone down the pecking order for Jose, having missed all the team's game so far this season. Another significant absentee is midfielder Hossam Ashour, who was overlooked for the second game running despite being a key man for the Red Devils for the past eight years. Veteran Mohamed Barakat is still out with an arm injury, while Mohamed Shawky will also miss the game after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Ittihad win.
