The Egyptian FA are looking to move the friendly match against Brazil away from September due to the African champions' tight schedule, according to chairman Samir Zaher. The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) announced on Thursday that the Selecao will visit Cairo for a friendly match with Egypt on September the 6th. Even though Egypt are supposed to be the hosts of the high-profile meeting, the FA did not make an announcement as it seems that the date of the fixture is unsuitable for the Pharaohs. “This is a match of great importance as it will be followed worldwide, that's why we do not intend to call it off but we are hoping to move it to another date,” Zaher told reporters. “The problem is that Egypt have two games in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers during this period.” Egypt, who are virtually out of the CAN 2012 qualifiers, will visit Sierra Leone on September the 2nd before hosting Niger in the final group game nearly a month later. The FA is expected to face a tough job organizing the fixtures of the 2011-2012 season, following its decision to extend the number of Premier League teams from 16 to 20. Some pundits believe that the new league system will be impossible to apply amid the continental commitments of teams like Ahli, Zamalek and Ismaili.
