Mohamed Zidan made his first appearance this season but couldn't help Bundesliga champions Borussia Dortmund avoid a 1-0 defeat at Hoffenheim. The Egypt forward, who is still struggling to find his place in Juergen Klopp's selection, came on to replace Japanese ace Shinji Kagawa on 75 minutes. But Hoffenheim held on well to their ninth minutes lead by Bosnian striker Sejad Salihovic. Dortmund have not beaten Hoffenheim since the latter was promoted to the top flight in 2008-2009. Klopp's team slip to seventh place with three points from two games.
