Amr Zaki has decided to stay with Zamalek and turn down a move to Europe after having a conversation with coach Hassan Shehata. Zamalek accepted a €1million offer from Turkey's Sivasspor on Tuesday after Shehata approved the move, only for the striker to decide he wants to stay in Cairo. “The manager and the board thought that I want to leave, that's why the offer was accepted,” Zaki told FilGoal.com. “But when I talked to Shehata, I told him I am willing to stay and he replied that he hopes for the same thing. “I was never concerned about money with Zamalek, I gave up a lot of things to stay with the club and I am ready to do the same thing once again.” Zaki played a few games under Hossam Hassan last term due to his numerous injury problems, mostly related to a troublesome knee.
