Nilo Vingada, who has a vast experience with Egyptian football, is set to be named as the new manager for the national team. "We have agreed terms with Vingada," Egyptian FA chairman Samir Zaher told FilGoal.com on Tuesday. "Some tiny details remain to be sorted out. We will present him officially in 48 hours." The Portuguese coach took charge of Zamalek in 2003-2004 and steered the Cairo team to their last league title to date. Vingada later was appointed as Egypt's youth team boss but failed to qualify to the 2008 Olympics. In 2009, Ahli reached a deal with Vingada to succeed his countryman Manuel Jose but he resigned just one week before the pre-season camp due to personal reasons. Vingada, who works at North Korean side Seoul, will bring two assistants with him. Hassan Shehata parted ways with the Egyptian team in June after failing to qualify to the 2012 African Cup of Nations. Shehata is the most successful coach in the history of Egypt, steering the team to three consecutive African Cup of Nations titles in 2006, 2008 and 2010.
