Ahli star defender Ahmed Fathi admitted being uncomfortable with the left-back position that manager Manuel Jose has put him in during the previous couple of matches. Jose started with Fathi on the left in last week's derby with Zamalek, but the Egypt defender looked awkward before the Portuguese coach reinstalled him as a right-back in the second half of the 2-2 draw. However, Jose moved to the left at the expense of Sayed Moawad in the second half of Sunday's disappointing draw with lowly Smouha as the champions conceded twice after the break. “I don't like to play as a left-back. It confines me and makes me run little,” Fathi told FilGoal.com. “But I am a professional and I always try to follow the manager's instructions.” Ahli assistant coach Pedro replied to questions from reporters about Fathi's position after the Smouha game saying that the intention of such a tactical switch is to make use of the 26-year-old powerful crossing and shooting from the opposite side. Fathi, who has been Ahli's most consistent player this season, is linked with newly-promoted English Premier League Queens Park Rangers.
