An off-form Egypt side seemed to be close to salvaging a goalless draw with South Africa but Katlego Mphela hit a last-gasp winner to give the Bafana Bafana a hard-fought 1-0 win and dent Egypt's Nations Cup hopes. After eventless 90 minutes, Mphela outran his marker Wael Gomaa to latch onto a precise pass and release a fierce low drive that drilled into the net and sent the home at Ellis Park into ruptures.
