Geddo, the 2010 African Cup of Nations top scorer, underwent a scan on his head and the results indicated he just needs to rest for a day or two to reach full recovery. Borussia Dortmund forward Mohamed Zidan was recalled to the squad too. He was doubtful for the game as he was nursing a back injury of late. Strikers Ahmed Ali, Ahmed Belal and Sayed Hamdi were also named on the list. Skipper Ahmed Hassan, who has just recuperated from a serious cruciate ligament tear, was expectedly snubbed. Egypt, who are languishing at the bottom of Group G with one point, need to beat leaders South Africa away on March 26 in order to revive their qualification hopes.
