Saudi Arabia's dismal Asian Cup campaign ended with a shocker as the three-time champions were beaten 5-0 by Japan in the Group B finale on Monday. A hat-trick from Shinji Okazaki and a brace by Ryoichi Maeda handed the Saudis their third defeat in a row and sent Japan to the quarter-finals of the competition. In the other group game, Jordan came back from behind to beat neighbors Syria 2-1 and join Japan as runners up. Mohamed Zeno opened the scoring for Syria, but teammate Ali Diab leveled things for Jordan with an own goal, before Odai Al-Saifi won the game for Al-Nashama. Japan claim top spot on goal-difference to face host nation Qatar in the last eight, while Jordan meet Group A leaders Uzbekistan.
