Masri refuted reports suggesting that their head coach Mokhtar Mokhtar would take charge of Ahli, who are yet to appoint a new boss following the resignation of Hossam Al-Badri. Al-Badri stepped down from his role right after the Red Devils' 3-1 loss at Ismaili in the Egyptian Premier League on Sunday. His resignation was accepted hours later. Several tacticians were tipped to succeed the 50-year-old at Ahli's helm, including Mohsen Saleh, Anwar Salama and Mokhtar. However, Masri chairman Kamal Abou-Ali quickly stressed that Mokhtar shouldn't be among Ahli's candidates because he's under contract at Masri. "He's staying at Masri, he's going nowhere," Abou-Ali told Egyptian TV. "His contract is still valid and we refuse to let him go this season. We are building a good team and we don't want to risk our stability. "No one has officially opened talks with Masri from Ahli anyway."
