Liverpool are likely to be without Dirk Kuyt and Daniel Agger when they face Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday. Holland striker Kuyt was substituted in the first half of his side's 4-1 victory over Sweden in Tuesday's Euro 2012 qualifier after hurting his ankle. Defender Agger suffered a groin strain during Denmark's 2-0 win over Cyprus. "Dirk wanted to play on but our doctor prevented that and told me to substitute him," Holland coach Bert van Marwijk said. "He is now in a hospital but following the doctor's first opinion it could be very serious and keep him sidelined for a long time." Liverpool will be in desperate need of a win against city rivals Everton after enduring one of their worst ever league starts. The Reds lie third from bottom in the 20-team league table with six points from seven games. Everton also have six points. Liverpool could be sold to New England Sports Ventures, which owns Boston Red Sox baseball team, after it had a bid accepted by the club's board.
