Steven Gerrard was the sixth Liverpool player to see his house burgled in the space of 18 months. Whilst the midfield marvel was inspiring his team to a 4-0 Champions League victory in Marseille, his house in Formby has been ransacked by four unidentified men. "Officers were called to a house at about 9:30 p.m. last night following a call from a female resident that four men had broken into the house and stolen items of jewellery," a police spokeswoman said on Wednesday. Gerrard's wife Alex Curran was present in the house during the burglary, along with another woman, but they were both unharmed. The Unfortunate List
Reina lost his Porsche Striker Dirk Kuyt had his luxury home in Woolton robbed last month, while the Dutch forward was away on international duty. During last year's Champions League semi-final game against Chelsea, goalkeeper Jose Reina's house was robbed, his Porsche was taken and found burnt in West Derby. Striker Peter Crouch and defender Daniel Agger also joined the list as their houses were burgled last September, with the latter losing a BMW and a Cadillac. In June 2006, former goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek, who is believed to be the most devastated victim of all, had his Merseyside home ransacked as well. The Polish goalkeeper's £65,000 Porsche Carrera was stolen, in addition to some jewelry and his 2005 Champions League gold medal.
