Borussia Dortmund have signed Japanese playmaker Shinji Kagawa from Cerezo Osaka as their final signing this summer, the Bundesliga club said. Kagawa, 21, is an attacking midfielder known for his goalscoring ability as he grabbed the Golden Boot award in the Japanese second division last term, helping his team to promotion. "Shinji is a quick and agile player. An outstanding talent!" Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp was quoted as saying by the club's official site. Kagawa is expected to compete with Egypt forward Mohamed Zidan who used to fill in the playmaker position before suffering injury in April. But Zidan, who had knee surgery to repair the anterior cruciate ligament, is unlikely to be fit for action before October.
